🦔 Ford Focus Mk2 1.8 Petrol Problems

The car has 63000 and is in excellent condition but it is very sluggish especially in lower gears. When I pull off in 1st gear there is a lag and when I change When we bought our Mk2.5 1.8HE Zetec hatch we still had our old Mk1.5 1.8TDCi Ghia estate and I found the Mk2.5 a lot noisier, more engine noise, more road noise and a lot more wind noise. Of course this wasn't a fair like-for-like comparison because the sound insulation was probably better on the Ghia. If the fuel tank sender has a permanent open or closed connection or the measurements are completely out of range it will be defective. Another possibilty is a defective instrument cluster. The Focus MK2/MK2.5 instrument clusters are known to have problems caused by bad soldering connnections of the circuit board. I have a 2007 Focus 1.8 petrol, and a few weeks ago i noticed some problems with the instrument cluster. One day after starting the car, all gauges got crazy! Fuel was on full while i was on the gas station two weeks ago, speed stayed on zero while i was driving, etc Hi all, I hope I can get some advice with a problem I am experiencing whilst on holiday in Germany. My Focus Estate (2.0l petrol, ZF automatic) developed an issue on the way to Germany - there is hardly any power transmission in 4th gear. Changing gears works fine, no warning lights / messages, n Posted April 2, 2015. Hi guys, Well here it is,this weeks "Jons problem" ;-) Bit of a strange one . Was in traffic today, and slowed up with clutch in in 1st gear and revs dropped as usual to about 500 before picking up to 700 as they always do but next time i stopped and idled the car stalled . Started straight away then few mins later did it Hi all, I think I have a problem on my last acquisition, a Ford Focus MK2 (2206) 1.8 petrol Duratec HE 125hp. The temperature gauge rarely get off of 60 "degrees C". I check that sometimes it increases a little but never reaches the first step and it comes again to 60 degrees. I found on the web a similar speedometer that explains the behaviour 1.8 petrol its at the front look at the thermostat housing above or next to it is a rubber hose a small one leading to the front where the manifold is it then attatches to the pcv valve which is in a rubber holder simply pull this out and thats the valve its the hose that has a problem with collapsing if you follow it round to the rear of the engine it bends and goes into the throttle with the Budding Enthusiast. 7. When it had a service, the problem seems to have been amplified. I believe it is or has got slightly worse. Focus FFV cutting out Was very interested to read the cutting-out problems people are having with the Ford Focus. I have a Focus FFV 1.8 (flexifuel - can take petrol or bio ethanol ) and it's just gone back into the dealer garage today for the 4th time for the same cutting out problem. fBwx.
